TODAY is the last day to visit Butterfly Jungle at San Diego's World Famous Safari Park{ +San Diego Zoo Safari Park} {formerly known as The Wild Animal Park}

Our family went to see the butterflies last week.  It was our daughter's very first time, so we dressed her in something super bright, hopefully to attract all the pretty flying butterflies.

Before we even reached Butterfly Jungle, we had to stop and feed the ducks!  It's only 50¢ for a handful of dry duck food pellets.  It reminds me of when my mom bought us 3 ducks!  I love feeding the ducks and being able to share this experience with my family.  For only 50 cents, it's well worth the excitement and photos!

 +San Diego Zoo Safari Park has some lovely views.  The scenery and atmosphere differs from +San Diego Zoo with the higher temperatures, drier weather, and different exhibits.

 I would've loved to have been about to sit on this rock, with my laptop and wifi, uploading/editing photos for my next blog post.  However, I would've felt like a .. monkey in a zoo?  Or maybe a gorilla in the safari.

 Now, these e-cigarettes are a tricky thing.  I was surprised, and a bit happy, to see this sign here at Safari Park.  Just like smoke, I don't want to inhale somebody's tobacco vapors.

 Lorikeet Landing is a super fun exhibit.  Butterfly Jungle was filled up until 3pm, so we stopped here to buy some sweet nectar and feed the lorikeet birds.  First, the sign said the birds were "full".  We went in, someone had some nectar, and the chubby birds were flocking around them.  I sent hubby out to get us some sweet juicy nectar.  I have no problem feeding greedy birds.

 I got one!  I got a lorikeet at Lorikeet Landing and it didn't even "peep" on me.  {that's my daughter's version of peeing and pooping at the same time.}

 There is a lot of walking to be done at +San Diego Zoo Safari Park , so a Footsie Wootsie visit was in order!  Go figure that the only one of us that got to use it was the youngest!

 Go ahead, press "Aggression"!  There are so many gorillas to be seen and observe here.  They are massive beauties.

 Time for the butterflies!  This is what we came for.  These are what we came for.  After standing in line for a while {40 min, maybe?}, it was our turn to enter the Butterfly Jungle!!

 Oh my gosh, they were everywhere.  You are warned to be careful where you step, for sometimes the pretty butterflies like to land on the ground and you don't want a squashed butterfly.

 Of all people, this little feller landed in my hubby's hair!  Lucky!!  I don't think his sweaty head smells like sweet nectar, but that goofy butterfly does.  Only in the jungle!

 Don't touch their wings!  They tell you this repeatedly, but once you get inside you see how some people didn't heed the warning.  Surprising, most of the butterflies with wings like this one can still fly.

 This little girl that we saw had this butterfly on her hand for a good 20 minutes.  My daughter was over the moon!  She was doing any and everything in her power to coax it over to her hand.  I was praying in my head for God to please bless my baby girl with a butterfly to land on her.

 In the meantime, gorgeous, right?  The colors of nature inspire hope, love, joy, peace.. euphoria!

 You can see for yourself the smiles that ensued.  She would then talk about this Butterfly Jungle experience for the rest of her life.  That's just my prediction.  At least, she would for the car ride home!

 I kissed one!  I kissed a butterfly, WOW!  Ok, not really.  That would be harmful.  Shame on you.
**disclaimer: no butterflies were touched or harmed in the making of this amazing, award-winning fabulously fantastic photo.**

 After Butterfly Jungle, it was just a short walk to the exit because were ready to go get some of our very own sweet juicy nectar in the form of +Souplantation and Sweet Tomatoes!!  Daddy's treat, honey.  Rancho Bernardo has one of the best Souplantation locations!  I recommend it.

  3. The butterfly exhibit looks so cool from your post. I especially like the blue butterfly! I will probably join the zoo again once I have a family!

    I love that the menu at souplantation changes so you get different things every visit. It's the only buffet I visit repeatedly.
